What are the steps involved? Basically, there are three.
(1) Come up with the money. (2) Find a property to buy. (3) Buy it!
Of course, it is more complicated than that, which is why it is very beneficial to work with a professional real estate agent to guide you through the process.
Let's start with step (1). Unless you have enough cash to make your purchase, and most people do not, you will need to get a home loan.
Where do you go for that? You can work with any home loan lender you'd like, but if you would like a referral to a good one, go to Marketplace Home Mortgage's website where you can apply for a loan online if you'd like.

Once you've got the money lined up, you can move on to step (2), finding a property you want to buy. This is where your real estate agent can be a major help by setting up an automatic property search for you and then showing you properties. Step (3) involves writing up a purchase agreement, doing a home inspection, doing title work, and an assortment of other things before Closing Day, the day you will become a New HomeOwner!
